Religious Education Ministry

Religious Education Board

The Committee meets on a regular basis to set goals, priorities and policies for the total parish religious education program.

Religious Education Programs for the Young

Teachers and substitutes are trained and assisted by the Director of Religious Education to teach our young people. This includes teachers, aides and office help for preschool, elementary, junior and high schools. The program also includes meetings for parents with children preparing for First Reconciliation, First Eucharist, and Confirmation. The program includes students from preschool through the 11th grade.

Adult Religious Education Programs

Programs provide opportunities for adults to continue their religious education and spiritual growth; includes the planning of classes, retreats, days of recollection, missions and parish renewal programs.

Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults

A ministry to those preparing for membership in the Church.

Rainbows

Rainbows is an international organization that offers training and curricula for establishing peer support in churches. This ministry is offered for children who are grieving a death, divorce, or any other painful transition in their family.

Vacation Bible School

The school is scheduled each year for one week in June, and gives children the opportunity to come together in a fun setting to learn how Jesus fits into their lives. Volunteers are used for teaching, aides, arts and crafts, and refreshments.
