We hope you're here because of a good conversation you've had with someone about either becoming Catholic or reconnecting with your Catholic Faith.
If you haven't been baptized, you'll enter into the Order of Catechumens, the body of those who are preparing for reception into the Church. To become a Catholic is no small task, and so it's important that you are acquainted with the mysteries of Faith that we believe and profess. This is the purpose of the catechumenate.
If you're already validly baptized in a Christian Church in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, you'll likely become a candidate for full communion. This means that you'll take some of the same instructions as those in the Order of Catechumens to give you the formation necessary to make your official Profession of Faith and proceed forward in the Sacramental life of the Church.
It's important to note that every case isn't the same, and so the timeframe may be different depending upon your circumstances. But, we believe that the Holy Spirit is guiding your discernment process. It's not always easy to trust in God's timeframe, but discernment and formation are always worth the time taken, precisely because The Lord's Hand is at work!
